Let No Man Take Thy Crown!

The book of Revelations says, “Let no man take thy crown.” Have you wondered what the Lord was saying? It’s almost kinda scary to think that a “man” can take our crown. Does this mean we can lose our salvation? I believe what this means is that the rewards in heaven can be lost, but not our salvation. The Lord SEALS us with a Holy Spirit of promise when we accepted what Jesus did on the cross, and continue to “work out our salvation with fear and trembling” as the Scriptures say. What I believe this means is that it is a matter of our heart. What is IN our heart can steal our blessings, and it’s usually about “man.” It’s always about some sort of relationship with someone. I am so thankful this day that we have Jesus, our Advocate, Savior, who forgives us daily, that can help us KEEP our crown. By repenting when we know we have sinned, by speaking truth in love, by being honest with one another, and walking fearless because fear is not from God, we are “working out our salvation with (right) fear and trembling.” This whole Christian life is about holiness. And as Christians, we have the Holy One, Jesus, to keep up covered, so we can be holy as He is holy. If you think you can’t be holy, then think again, because God requires holiness. And He even says, “Be Holy as I am Holy,” or “Be Ye Perfect.” We can only BE these things when we have the Holy One Jesus residing inside us because all our holiness is holey (with holes!).

So today, look up for your Redeemer lives, put off those things that you feel guilty about, those regrets, lost days, and look at what you have today. Live today, and receive the blessings and goodness of God through forgiveness that Jesus came to give us, giving us access to the Father boldly. Lift up your heads to the Lord who made heaven and earth, and be filled with His everlasting Love. Let today be a start of a new way, new heart, and a new clean spirit so you can experience holiness.

Luke 1:74-75 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1 Thess. 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Last but certainly not least,

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

Together we can do this. We can walk in holiness, redeeming the time, watching and praying always. Let’s get back to the basics, the gospel of peace and love, everything else is nothing. I like what Paul said, “I know nothing but Christ and Him crucified.” I hope that is our prayer and attitude today as well…
