HOPE for our future…

There is HOPE… Truly…. with everything going on in the world and things seeming to get worse, it is all foretold. But I found a nugget while reading the account in Luke 21 as Jesus tells of all the things going to happen to THIS generation that gives HOPE… and even a way OUT of these hardships coming down the pike.

Luke 21:34-36: “And take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with dissipation (meaning: course of life, in which health, money, etc., are squandered in pursuit of pleasure; profuseness in immoral indulgence, as late hours, riotous living, etc), and drunkenness and CARES OF THIS LIFE… and so that day comes upon you unaware. For as a snare it shall come on all them that dwell on the face of the WHOLE earth… (now here’s the promise) WATCH YOU, therefore and PRAY always that you may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass… and in the end stand before the Son of Man.”

Good News! You who are fearing tomorrow, take heed! By keeping your eyes on the Lord, praying always and watching for His return, you will be “counted worthy’ to ESCAPE these things. I don’t know exactly what that looks like, but if God said it He will perform it. This isn’t talking about salvation… because sadly many so-called Christians will go through these things! To be counted “worthy” we need to take our eyes off the things of this world. Our possessions, our jobs, even our children and put them on the Lord. Because when we do, He gives us back these things! Seek first the Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness and ALL THESE THINGS shall be added. Don’t let the cares of this world choke your spiritual growth in the Lord.

I remember something I learned many years ago, “Hold onto this world loosely and hold onto the Lord tightly.” It doesn’t mean you won’t function because you have to be in a prayer posture. It means that whatever you do, do all unto the Lord. Whatever your hands touch, whatever you say, whatever you do, “acknowledge” Him in all your ways and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:6). Even during these last days. He will DIRECT your paths if you are listening. God is talking!!!

I had something happen during Christmas that is too much to share here, but just know that I wasn’t listening! I heard God, but didn’t take heed. Then after going through this “trial” I got a download phrase: “Disobedience is exhausting.” If we just simply obey we would cut out so many struggles and dis-eases in our lives and find peace. Each person has to see where their disobedience is, especially if you are exhausted and tired all the time?? It could be so small, but remember, a little leaven levels the whole lump. It could be from not loving yourself to treating others poorly, harboring anger and fear to out-right being rebellious! Only you know…. but ask the Lord because we can be deceived in believing we are doing well.

I believe this NEW year is a great time to get the cart back behind the horse… and seek first GOD in all things more than you ever have before. Because even if you already “think” you do, think again, because we can be deceived.

I’ve written a work book called “Discovering God.” I use it in all my conferences as it goes into relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, with yourself and others to fulfill Matthew 22:38-40. If you are interested you can get it off my website at www.restoringyourlife.tv.

But suffice to say… the promise is there for all who believe!! Stay the course, keep the faith, and ask the Lord to increase your ability to believe even more, watching always for His return. Have a wonderful New Year!!
