Got Hope?

February 6, 2016

This morning I awoke with a word for me from the Lord which I love sharing with you in hopes you are also encouraged and strengthened.

Have you ever heard someone say, “Don’t get your hopes up?” Perhaps you have said it to yourself? Well, that is such a horrible statement. One that will keep us bound in our junk, because without hope how can we survive anything? See, the problem is we are hoping in the wrong things. We are hoping the doctor finds out what is wrong with us. We are hoping someone does something for us. We are hoping for circumstances to change. We are hoping in people, places or things. But all those are called “false hope” and will end in disappointment and disaster. The only way we are to Hope is to HOPE IN GOD alone (Psalm 42:11). Then if you are waiting for an answer to a prayer or something else and you feel like giving up, then transfer that hope to trusting God! That will carry you to whatever ends. Trust becomes a bridge.

As you know, I always share a personal spin on these insights, and here it is:  I have been experiencing a chronic health issue, one that cannot be figured out. My hope was wavering as it’s been going on for almost five years. Wouldn’t that make you lose hope? Well, I almost did until this morning when the Lord said now take your hope and turn it to TRUSTing Me (Hebrews 11:6). He reminded me of the scripture that says Hope deferred makes the heart sick… (Proverbs 13:12). My hope is not deferred today, it’s been re-ferred to the Lord to keep me by trusting Him to keep me. Psalm 121 says “The Lord is my keeper…”

So if there has been something nagging at you and it’s not been resolved. If there is a health issue that is continual without no end in sight. This message is for you. I hope it encourages you to know you are not alone. The Lord understands all your weaknesses. He feels all your pain. He knows your suffering. Share them with Him through hoping and trusting in Him alone, and you will not be disappointed.

Post Christmas Blues?

December 31, 2015

Who has the post Christmas blues?? Well, this is for you. I can recall over the past several years I would feel let down or disappointed after the Christmas day was through. I didn’t want to be like that. I prayed through it each and every time, and within a couple of days I was back to my chipper self. Well, this year, I asked God why this was so? Why on the happiest season of the year anyone would be sad? Well, of course, many reasons can jump out like, family is back home so you are alone; or sadness over someone who has passed on. Perhaps even disappointed with family and friends who didn’t meet up to our expectations of their gift giving and fellowship. All sorts of things. I had thought these were the reasons. Well, this year I got my joy back and it continued right through Christmas, and is still going strong. Even after I took down all the decorations getting ready for the New Year. It was done with joy, excitement and peace. My heart remained constant. I had no let down, no pain, nothing. Even though my sister passed 3 years ago Christmas! The joy of the Lord was truly there for me. So you ask me how? Well, here’s what transpired.

A few week before Christmas I was laying in bed before getting up that day and said, “Lord what is Christmas really all about?” And this is what He said. “It’s about friends, relationships, feeding the poor, giving, putting money into the economy. Even the time where people’s hearts are more open to receive, to be healed, to be restored.” He then said, “Christmas is a TRADITION of men, not of me.” Wow… I responded and then began to meditate on all this. And that’s exactly what I saw. Now, I’m only speaking of me, and yes, Christmas is the day we celebrate Christ’s birth, but do we? Really? Or are we throwing Him in as an after thought? The churchy answer is that we are celebrating Christ, but the truth is, we are having parties, shopping, making goodies, etc. Then He said to me, “You know how people keep saying every year, “Put Christ into Christmas?” He said, “I want you to take Christ out of Christmas this year.” He began to give me a picture. He said to remove Christ out of Christmas and PUT HIM ON TOP of Christmas. That was tremendous! When I did, everything made sense. Scriptures say, “If our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart.” So it’s true with everything. GOD IS GREATER than everything, even Christmas!!! He’s greater than the 4th of July, Easter, all of those TRADITIONS and HOLIDAYS man created.

Jesus said, “Remember Me.” And He said that while doing communion. That means, remember all that He has done for us, not necessarily His birthday on one day, but EVERY DAY. We are to keep Jesus ABOVE everything, every event, every situation, and Christmas too. We so often look towards things, people and special days. We are the ones who build it up, not the Lord. He wants us to live life in peace. Not huge ups and huge downs… constantly. And as we keep our focus on Him IN EVERY THING… we won’t ever feel let down, disappointed, sad… because our confidence and faith is in Him alone! I like how Paul put it. He said that he learned to be content in all things, whether doing good, or bad, rich or poor, every thing. Contentment is PEACE! And peace to me means a steady person in everything good or bad that comes their way.

I had some repenting to do that morning, and from that point on I looked as Christmas as a fun time of year… but keeping JESUS IN every second of every day to help make this time even more enjoyable. I stopped focusing on the DAY but on the ONE who made the Day, and everything changed!! I believe my New Year is going to be one of expectations, not in what I will be doing in the year ahead personally and in ministry, but with what God is going to provide. What He’ll bless us with. How He will open and close doors. How we can rely and trust on every situation. What a way to start the New Year! Keep Jesus ON TOP of it all….. Can’t ever be disappointed, fearful, worried, frustrated and depressed when you do that.

March 2nd I am doing a 10-12 week teleconference series called “Fearless Living.” If you are interested in joining us, send me a note. It’ll cover this topic and many more to help us find that TRUE contentment and peace by living fearless of things coming in our lives personally and on the earth.

Merry Christmas Gift!

December 22, 2015

This morning I was working on promoting a book about the end-times for a friend. And as I was contemplating things, it appears to me that many are in fear of what is coming down the pike. Let me give you a great insight from the Word of God.

1 Corinthians 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

This passage sets everything straight. Regardless of what MAN has up his sleeve, God is greater! Whatever MAN thinks, God’s thoughts are higher. If we feel condemned at all, God is greater than that (1 John 3:20). We have to all come up higher in our Thoughts (Isaiah 55:9) because GOD IS GREATER THAN IT ALL! If we can grab that, these things on earth won’t shake us up at all. But rather rejoice that the Lord is at work doing something amazing in our lifetime.

If I were to give you a Christmas Gift… it would be to BELIEVE. Believe like never before that all things will work out to those who BELIEVE. Let that person be YOU! If you have a hard time believing, have a little talk with the Lord… He said if you ASK He will give it to you. So if you need more faith to believe, then ask. If you need more faith to not fear. Then ask. What better gift will God give you, than these things that honor Him?metomchristmas

Let No Man Take Thy Crown!

November 24, 2015

The book of Revelations says, “Let no man take thy crown.” Have you wondered what the Lord was saying? It’s almost kinda scary to think that a “man” can take our crown. Does this mean we can lose our salvation? I believe what this means is that the rewards in heaven can be lost, but not our salvation. The Lord SEALS us with a Holy Spirit of promise when we accepted what Jesus did on the cross, and continue to “work out our salvation with fear and trembling” as the Scriptures say. What I believe this means is that it is a matter of our heart. What is IN our heart can steal our blessings, and it’s usually about “man.” It’s always about some sort of relationship with someone. I am so thankful this day that we have Jesus, our Advocate, Savior, who forgives us daily, that can help us KEEP our crown. By repenting when we know we have sinned, by speaking truth in love, by being honest with one another, and walking fearless because fear is not from God, we are “working out our salvation with (right) fear and trembling.” This whole Christian life is about holiness. And as Christians, we have the Holy One, Jesus, to keep up covered, so we can be holy as He is holy. If you think you can’t be holy, then think again, because God requires holiness. And He even says, “Be Holy as I am Holy,” or “Be Ye Perfect.” We can only BE these things when we have the Holy One Jesus residing inside us because all our holiness is holey (with holes!).

So today, look up for your Redeemer lives, put off those things that you feel guilty about, those regrets, lost days, and look at what you have today. Live today, and receive the blessings and goodness of God through forgiveness that Jesus came to give us, giving us access to the Father boldly. Lift up your heads to the Lord who made heaven and earth, and be filled with His everlasting Love. Let today be a start of a new way, new heart, and a new clean spirit so you can experience holiness.

Luke 1:74-75 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1 Thess. 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Last but certainly not least,

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

Together we can do this. We can walk in holiness, redeeming the time, watching and praying always. Let’s get back to the basics, the gospel of peace and love, everything else is nothing. I like what Paul said, “I know nothing but Christ and Him crucified.” I hope that is our prayer and attitude today as well…

That Dreaded Top!

November 23, 2015

Well, I have to share this with my loyal fans. As you know I get to “tell on myself” in hopes that it helps others.

About a year ago I got this amazing top. But, it was when a bunch of us ladies got together to exchange clothing. We have lunch, and then share our stuff with one another, it’s quite fun. Well, me and another lady loved this one top. Well, I ended up with it. From that point on, it appears this other lady really didn’t like me any more, and I thought it was because of that top. So every time I would put it on, or look at it in the closet, I would think she didn’t like me. So this past week (a year later mind you) I faced the moment of truth. I wanted to talk with her about it to see if I offended her about the top. I was trying to think of what I was going to say, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Just have a friendly conversation with her, you don’t have to bring up anything else.” So I called, and we had a great visit!! What I realized was it was MY guilt causing me to THINK these negative things that weren’t true at all. So when I realized this, the guilt left! Now when I look at that top, it’s with endearing thoughts of my friend.

I just had to share this because many of our thoughts are stemmed from our own guilt. Sometimes we blame others, but really, it’s within us. Just a friendly reminder to stay friendly…. because that kind of love overcomes everything.

Remember to remember!

November 8, 2015

What was the first thought that came to your mind when you woke up this morning? Can’t remember? Well, that could be our problem. See, we are instructed to take every thought captive. Imagine a bird cage filled with all kinds of birds. Someone accidentally opened the cage and out flew a few of the birds. How difficult is it to find and retrieve those birds? It’s the same with our thoughts. They start flying everywhere, and pretty soon you go right down with them! But it doesn’t have to be so. We need to start paying attention, especially to that very FIRST thought that comes to us when we awake. That is the thought that will set us up for the day!

As the Lord was showing me this, I was also thinking of pride. Where does it come from? Is it in our actions? Is it in what we eat? No, it’s in our THOUGHTS! We can take these thoughts captive as well, recognize them for what they are, and repent, and replace.

Where does anger come from? Same thing… it all starts in our thoughts. How we processed something that happened, usually… to us. Then of course all things get added to it like bitterness, unforgiveness, etc.. But we can take these captive too.

So let’s take a look at 2 Corinthians 10:5 and see how we can apply this infamous verse to our lives today.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

First we have to know that our thoughts are FULL of imaginations… So many what if’s stream in and out. So many negative thoughts of what others MAY be thinking about us. We have over 30,000 thoughts a day… are you taking all of them captive? So as we address our imagination, which by the way was not created for the devil to use… as God had a great imagination when creating you and I!  So we have to recognize what is an imagination… it goes on to say what that is… Every High Thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. So, when you woke up this morning, did you think of how awful you feel? Did you think how you were going to pay the bills? Did you think of how you were going to deal with the situation you had to face that day? Anything that brings no comfort or peace is HIGH AND LOFTY against the Word of the Lord. What is the knowledge of God? It’s His truth. Because it goes onto say, “Take every thought TO the obedience of Christ.” What does this look like? What does Christ as us to do? To love, forgive, and serve one another. Anything outside of those parameters is NOT in the obedience of Christ. I like what my friend Caspar McCloud says:  If you say something, put “In Jesus Name” at the end. You’ll soon see what thoughts are Godly and what thoughts aren’t! You may be surprised…. and this may be a way to gauge your thought life. Because frankly, some of us think we are positive individuals when in fact, we are so used to how we are, that’s just what we believe…  But it could be further from the truth..

I actually did this myself this very morning. As I awoke, I started thinking of the chocolate brownie I ate last night and started wondering if I was going to feel sick today. In times past, eating late at night would make me feel draggy, even dizzy, and I replayed that in my mind. I began thinking all kinds of negative thoughts, even before opening my eyes. Then I said, “Stop it!” I decided right then to change my thinking. How can I bless the Lord today? Who can I reach today? How can I love my husband today? Who can I call? If you’ll notice, none of these “thoughts” are about me!!! They are about others. I have learned that when I keep myself on my mind, I can get into all kinds of trouble in my mind. We are so worried about what we feel, what symptom we have that day, how we are going to make ourselves more comfortable… these are ALL high and lofty thoughts!!  They are PRIDE! That is why I mentioned pride earlier… when we think of ourselves, it’s prideful. What does the Bible say about pride? God hates pride!! So we should too. Not to hate yourself… but what is at work so we can come clean! Just this morning I did just that. I realized I still had a lot of pride, based on some of the things I’ve shared with you just now… but much more to be seen too that I’ve not mentioned. Pride comes from our thought life. We will only act upon it if it starts in our thoughts.

So if we can take these kinds of thoughts captive, you are well on your way to being a healthier and happy person. By the way, this will make those around you healthy and happy too! Negativity and corruption is contagious, holiness is not. So we have to live holy lives, and we start by taking every thought captive.

So right now… if you are feeling sad, alone, lonely, depressed, angry, fearful, etc… what are you thinking about?? Choose today to do something about it. Choose today to say, “Stop… I choose not to entertain those high and lofty thoughts that are against God’s Truth for my life.” And begin thinking about blessings! Think of what God has done and thank Him. Think of how you can bless someone today. I can almost guarantee you, your day will be much easier to face, and even could be enjoyable! What a concept…

When People Are Difficult!

November 6, 2015

As a minister, I have many opportunities to talk to people about their issues with other people, I have had my fair share as well. But the Lord showed me something today that will either make you or break you! And that is this:  “When people are difficult it’s because WE aren’t being honest with them.” Think about it. The only reason anyone could get under our skin and irritate us, is because we let them! And it’s done because we aren’t being honest with them about our own heart towards them. For example:  Let’s say you are visiting a friend and it seems every time you visit, you leave saying: “Every time I visit, I leave feeling bad about myself. Small. Insignificant.” Why is that? It’s because that person said or did something but YOU didn’t respond. You took it. You just leave. See,  we don’t want to hurt anyone, cause conflict, be confrontational, or even be honest because of FEAR of man. Fear of how they’ll respond. Fear of loosing that friend (and by the way, that isn’t a very good friend to do that in the first place). Fear, Fear, Fear… is the guiding light.

But let’s say that same friend begins saying and doing the same things at your next visit. What if you say, “Can I be honest with you? (And by the way, if we have to say that, what does that say?? Are we not being honest already??) “Did you know that your words are sharp, they leave me feeling sad. Well, I choose to forgive you and release all this from my heart.”  What do you think that person will do? You can even add, “I forgive you.” What a concept!! Remember, people that give pain is because they are in pain, perhaps this is a time to ask, “Are you doing okay? Can I pray with you about something?”

If you think about it, the last time you were irritated by someone, did you tell them they irritated you?  It’s time we start saying what we mean and mean what we say. When we do, did you know you can’t be manipulated either? When we are honest with our own hearts, speak the truth out of our mouth, we can’t even be manipulated. Truth doesn’t manipulate either…

When Jesus spoke the truth to people, He didn’t hold anything back. He would tell people, “Go and sin no more.” And others He would call vipers full of dead men’s bones. So, we need to be able to be honest as well. As a matter of fact, this is scriptural. To be honest and truthful will ALL men… at ALL times… Now, a person who truly does this will not be controlled, defiled, or manipulated. Now, there is a balance, because there is also discretion on when to speak the truth and what tone… but truth is still to be spoken.

I could get into “speaking the truth in love” but you can pick up my book called, “Nothing but the truth so help me God” that goes into more details at http://www.truthfrees.org. But for now… if you have difficulty speaking your mind, then it’s time to change that! Decide today to cast off all fear of man (the what if’s because fear is not from God) and begin to speak and walk in truth, today… in EVERY area of your life. It may be difficult at first, but that tells you how much you haven’t been honest… OUCH!

Are We Seeking To Be Healed?

November 3, 2015

Are we seeking to be healed? This morning I was thinking of some of my ailments I’ve been working through lately and asked the lord the past several days to heal me. Well, still not healed. I didn’t get upset or confused, I sought out the Lord in this area even more. This is what He showed me. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to Seek your healing!!!! Ouch! It says, to Seek God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and all these things (including healing) will be given. Then in the Lord’s prayer it doesn’t mention anything about getting healed. It asks for daily provision, to be forgiven of sins, etc., but nothing about healing our bodies. Then here’s one that really hit home. James 1:16 says to confess our faults one to another and pray one for another that you MAY be healed. I heard this passage correctly for the first time today!!! I’ve often used this passage when praying for the sick, but that was error. It says to talk to one another in honesty, then pray for one another… I believe to the degree we are honest with one another, praying fervently for one another, this opens the doors for our healing to come. This helped put things in perspective for me. Some of us have been seeking the healing first, when we need to be praying for one another to strengthen our spirit man and be restored in the area of sins. Many scriptures talk of Jesus saying, “Thy sins be forgiven, go and sin no more” just after healing them. So sins and sickness truly go hand in hand. So what are we to seek? God the Father, Jesus the Son through then power of the Holy Ghost… period. And watch the blessings you desire chase you down and over take you, including healing! I’ll keep you posted on my progress too, cause we are all in this walk together.

Whom Will You Believe?

September 29, 2015

It’s been a month or so since I shared a blog, it’s only because I’ve been busy doing radio and TV programming. Be sure to tune in if you can. You can access all those details on my website at http://www.restoringyourlife.tv. But what I have to share today is beyond anyone belief or comprehension. But it causes us to see that life as we know it is changing drastically, but will YOU be moved?

But, i wanted to give my commentary on the Pope’s address at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. These are his words:

“If at times our efforts and works seem to fail, and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and His life humanly speaking, ended in failure. The failure of the cross.”

Now, do I need say more? He just exposed himself having an anti-christ spirit!! Do we not see this? If Jesus failed at the cross, then our faith is in vein! Now don’t let me get started on the fruit Jesus left… But what the Pope is telling people is that Jesus never resurrected. That means no one is saved. How can a “supposed” man of God say this? Because He is Not. The Bible is clear that if someone denies that Jesus came in the flesh is not of God. Remember, even one statement like this leavens the whole lump and we are to have no part of anything else he says.

The truth is coming out people if we stop and take notice. “He who has an ear let him hear with the Spirit is saying to the churches.” Don’t be deceived that the Pope came to bring glad tidings, he didn’t, he came with an agenda from the pit of hell. Sorry, Christian/Catholics who read this, but if you have faith in Jesus Christ, then get out of that church as fast as you can for as long as you go there, you are subject to the Pope’s authority. He is just a man in a white robe, he has no extra super power to do anything. I haven’t heard of anyone touching his garment and being healed. I’ve heard no one being healed actually. I did hear someone take the Pope’s water glass and drank from it, gave it to his family and plans to sprinkle it on his grandchildren!! What??? Are you kidding me?

Where are all the Christian Leaders? Those I’ve heard from aren’t saying anything. They don’t want to step on anyone’s toes at the risk of losing financial support from those who cherish the Pope. This also goes for Pastor’s who aren’t speaking up, or taking a stand or informing their congregation. It’s not popular to speak the truth, look what happened to Jesus, remember, we are not greater than our Master. The truth makes free, and this is one way you can be free… get out from under false doctrine… take a stand… and make that decision on whom you will follow? The Pope or the Lord Jesus Christ? Even if you aren’t Catholic… who are you listening to? Whom will You believe?

Psalm 62:2 is one of my NEW favorite scriptures that comforts me in times like this: He ONLY is God and my Salvation, He is my defense, I shall not be GREATLY MOVED!

Don’t waver from your faith! Remember False teachers are coming….

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Don’t let it be you!!!!

How Much Do You Believe?

August 23, 2015

For the past few months I have been being stretched in my faith. It’s interesting that I say “my” faith, because now that sounds so strange to me. Because, I just realized that my faith only goes so far, but God’s faith in me can do anything!

Here’s what happened. I went to a worship event yesterday, met so many people, really enjoyed being among the Lord’s kids. Connected with so many and learned what God is doing through others, truly refreshing. Then I spoke to a woman who is going country-wide with her TV show. She needs to believe for thousands upon thousands of dollars to do this. She’s at that place where she doesn’t have it, but is believing God to meet her. As I thought about that, that’s exactly where I am. I have one TV show now, but embarking on my second AND a radio program on 770AM station. I have to believe for finances too, not as much as her, but to me it seems just as much.

So as I was driving home from that event, I recalled a friend of mine saying, “Give according to your faith.” But then I heard myself say, “Believe according to your faith.” So I could believe for so much, but I couldn’t believe for the rest. Why? Because I was able to give that amount personally, I didn’t need any help. But where I need help is where I don’t have it! That’s the faith I need to complete the monthly expenses for these shows. Then I realized that the faith I need is not my faith but God’s faith in me. It’s that “gift of faith” that was missing. So I decided to pray for the gift of faith to believe for what I could not do.

When I got home, I had a new sense of confidence that what this ministry is doing is reaching so many with the truth. The reason for this ministry is to equip people to be able to live everyday in faith. We are in uncertain times, and we need to be certain in our faith to weather anything that is coming down the pike.

I grew up a little today in my faith, and I hope this encourages you to do the same! Ask for the gift of faith to help you believe when what you have is not enough!
